THE OPENING OF THE QUEEN'S PLATINUM JUBILEE ORCHARD, CASHEL FOREST

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Orchard, Cashel Forest, Loch Lomond was opened on Friday 10th May 2024 by Alan Simpson OBE, Lord Lieutenant of Stirling and Falkirk. The forest has been created with funds raised by the Scottish Knights, and with the close support and cooperation of the Cashel Forest Trust and the Royal Scottish Forestry Society. The Lord Lieutenant addressed the guests present, followed by Sir Michael Hirst, Chairman of the Scottish Division of The Imperial Society of Knights Bachelor, and Nander Robertson, a Trustee of the Cashel Forest Trust and past President of the Royal Scottish Forestry Society.
At the luncheon that followed, Sir Michael Hirst made presentations to the Lord Lieutenant; Councillor Elaine Watterson, Provost of Stirling Council; and to Nander Robertson.
